Digging Deep

The digger has been busy so far this year, mainly with the development of the new dairy grazing platform infrastructure. This has consisted of installing drinking water ring main and drinking troughs as well as laying down hundreds of thousands of railway sleepers, to provide tracks for the cows to access their new fields. Now they are out to grass its great to see how everything has come together.

Throughout winter we have also been undertaking plenty of ditch clearing. The wet winter has really highlighted where this has been left for a bit too long! Having good functioning ditches is really important to minimise wet spots in fields which in turn makes for much better drilling conditions in spring even when the weather hasn't been on our side.

Now that drilling is over there is plenty of time to get back to finishing off the last few ditches we couldn't get to over winter for clients, along with creating new farm tracks now that warmer, drier weather is hopefully on the way.
